We seek to remain a presence throughout these times, supporting customers and local communities facing difficulties. Wishing to carry on this purpose for the next 100 years, we will take steps forward and continue to take on the challenges of each era.
Sustainability Strategy (Purpose Story)
For us to contribute to the resolution of social issues and achieve our own growth in a sustainable manner through our core insurance business, it is important to establish a cycle of linking business activities with solving social issues. More specifically, we have included taking climate action, improving disaster resilience and supporting people’s health and enriching lives in the list of material issues that the Group should tackle. Accordingly, we will work to realize a sustainable society in which people can live safely and with a sense of security while also taking on new challenges by leveraging two of the Group’s strengths, namely global risk diversification and globally integrated Group management.

Identifying Eight Material Issues (Materialities)
Based on advice from stakeholders, specialists and external experts, in 2021, ブック メーカー 違法ne Group identified eight material issues that the Group should address.
STEP 1Defining Value (Purposes) to Provide to Our Stakeholders
Based on the strong belief that “it is our duty to pass on a bright future to the next generation,” we have clearly positioned “future generations” as a key stakeholder. Then, we identified eight material issues based on the value we provide to each stakeholder and the social issues that affect our insurance business.
-
Contribute to making customers’ lives healthy and enriching through products that provide security and assistance with future-oriented challenges
-
Contribute to building a sustainable society that can overcome any challenge and ensure the safety and security of all its members
-
Help employees reach their highest potential through engagement and opportunities for them to thrive
-
Continually increase shareholder returns
-
Enhance the Group’s value and earn the trust of shareholders and investors through timely and proper disclosure along with constructive dialogue
-
Hand down a sustainable environment and society to future generations by engaging in climate change countermeasures and the preservation of biodiversity
-
Support the challenges of future generations by providing education and enlightenment to children
STEP 2Prioritizing Issues
We assessed the eight material issues along the two axes of “expectations and the interest of stakeholders” and “importance for ブック メーカー 違法ne Group,” and selected four priority issues.
